Propane is extremely cold and can cause frostbite if exposed to skin
Propane is delivered as a liquid and pumped into the tank
Propane changes to a gas vapor before it leaves the tank
Need a source of 820 F ignition before Propane will ignite with air
Nontoxic and produces minimal emissions
Nontoxic to soil or ground water
Propane in its natural form is colorless and odorless
A chemical compound is added deliberately to produce a strong unpleasant smell
For example: may smell like rotten eggs, a skunk's spray or dead animal
